We've officially had 2 BILLS introduced this legislative season! You can go to capitol.hawaii.gov and type in the bill numbers to read more about them! SB3055, with the help of our friends at Animal Rights Hawaii, is to begin the phase out of cetacean captivity for exhibition in the state of Hawaii by banning transferring dolphins between facilities, which is frequently done for breeding, and hopefully with an amendment to ban any further breeding of captive cetaceans. SB2075, with the help of One Ocean Diving, is to further protect Hawaii's sharks and rays from recreational fishing.
YOU CAN HELP by signing the petitions and by keeping an eye on our pages for what comes next!
