Well, many of you may have heard by now that the new president has decided to put up an entire list of National and Marine Monuments for review (including the recent Papahanaumokuakea one protecting the northwest Hawaiian islands). He believes some of their protections are too severe and could hinder business, as many of these lands could potentially be used for other purposes like oil, natural gas, or coal extraction.
The issue is now open for public comment and if you CLICK THE LINK you can go write one yourself encouraging that these monuments remain intact. We believe you can do so from worldwide. Now is your chance to SPEAK UP!
